Driver boasts hottest face in golf, most advanced forged iron ever features first-ever cut-thru slot
PLANO, TEXAS, October 16, 2013 - Adams Golf - known for its game-changing innovation and easy-to-hit equipment - introduces the XTD family of clubs showcasing an array of breakthrough technologies that set new benchmarks for forgiveness and ball speed generation.

Adams tests every XTD driver four times throughout the manufacturing process to ensure maximum clubhead spring-like effect within USGA limits, resulting in the hottest face in golf. This is a unique process not known to be practiced by any other manufacturer. XTD fairway woods and hybrids include a combination of technologies never seen before and Adams created the most advanced forged irons ever, featuring a hollow design and the category's only Cut-Thru™ slot.

"Quite frankly, these XTD products are the best we make thanks to a spare-no-expense mindset to create game-changing technology," said Justin Honea, Senior Director of Research and Development. "We ignored convention, built products with premium materials and pushed the limits to deliver jaw-dropping ball speed increases off the face for every club in the bag."

XTD Driver

Featuring several industry firsts, the XTD Driver is made like no other. Adams redefined the driver manufacturing process by testing each head four times to ensure the hottest permissible face within USGA rules and the tightest tolerance in golf. Today's current competitive standard is measuring only a small percentage of the total production.

In addition, XTD is the only driver to feature Cut-Thru Slot technology, the latest advancement to Adams' patented Velocity Slot Technology. These provide unmatched face flexion and expand the sweet spot to promote maximum ball speed on off-center and on-center shots. True to Adams' heralded aerodynamic shaping, there are neither engravings nor sharp edges to slow the club during its swing.

"We're touting that it's the hottest face in golf by using the strictest manufacturing tolerances," said Honea. "Every feature we've built into the XTD family is distinctive, and we've merged them all together into the ultimate driver."

Titanium Fairway Woods and Hybrids

Adams' heralded R&D team defied convention when creating the XTD Ti fairway woods and hybrids. Engineers combined titanium brazing with Cut-Thru Slot technology, and developed progressive face thickness to re-distribute mass and provide 29 percent more face speed on off-center hits**.

XTD flaunts an optimally-low CG, making it extremely easy to get the ball airborne for more consistent and controllable performance.

"We've consistently led the way in hybrid innovation and these have taken it to an entirely new level," added Honea. "We made sure XTD included every element to give golfers all they need when facing a long approach or looking to advance the ball toward the hole."

Forged Irons with Slots

Unlike traditional forged irons, XTD is a multi-piece forging that boasts the category's first-ever Cut-Thru Slot technology. A floating face and hollow design delivers a consistently faster face, adding forgiveness throughout. Tungsten weights in the sole optimize CG location.

"We created a forged iron that's caught up to our legendary hybrid technology, breaking the mold of what's been around for 80 years," said Honea. "Most blades sacrifice distance for workability but we're giving extra yards AND improvement on off-center shots!"

The full eight-piece set includes a 3- and 4- DHy, currently the top hybrid model on the PGA Tour. It gives the extra distance and forgiveness of a hybrid with the shot-shaping control of a long iron. A unique bulge-and-roll face technology improves shot dispersion.

XTD drivers ship to pro shops and specialty golf retailers on December 15, 2013 with an MSRP of $399.99. The Ti fairway woods and hybrids will be available for purchase on November 15, each with an MSRP of $299.99 per club. All include a Matrix Red Tie shaft and Iomic Black Armor Sticky Evolution grip.

Shipping on December 1, XTD forged irons include KBS C-Taper steel shafts for an MSRP of $1,099.99 or Aldila RIP Tour 115g graphite shafts with an MSRP of $1,199.99.

Adams Golf Brings Back The Legend - Tight Lies Fairway Woods
PLANO, TEXAS, July 22, 2013 - Adams Golf is bringing back the legendary fairway wood that put the company on the map in the mid-1990s. The new and improved Tight Lies features many of the same design elements that made the original an enormous success, plus the new, award-winning Velocity Slot Technology that makes the face twice as hot. Just like the original, the new Tight Lies will be launched initially as a 16 degree 3-wood with other loft options available later.

"In the ever-present pursuit of maximum distance, today's fairway woods have become mini-drivers - extremely difficult to hit from anywhere other than from a tee," said Justin Honea, Director of R&D. "The low profile design places the center of gravity (CG) below the CG of the ball, making it easy to hit the ball in the air. The unique tri-sole design makes it easy to hit from a multitude of challenging lies and then we added a refined Cut-Thru Slot design so this new Tight Lies is twice as hot as the original. It's the perfect blend of playability and performance."

Refined Cut-Thru Slots
Tight Lies features redesigned Cut-Thru Slots in the crown and sole to create maximum face deflection. This increased deflection allows for higher ball speeds making the new Tight Lies twice as hot as the original. Another added benefit of this new slot design is the increased forgiveness across the face.

Low-Profile Upside Down Design
A hallmark of the original Tight Lies fairway wood was the revolutionary low-profile, upside-down design, and it is back in the new version. This design feature allows for a very low CG - below the CG of the golf ball, making it extremely easy to hit the ball in the air for more consistent and controllable performance. Golfers will immediately notice the ease by which they make solid contact using the new Tight Lies out of a multitude of challenging lies.

Tri-Sole Design
The unique tri-sole design, which made the original version playable from any lie, will again be a difference maker for golfers playing the new Tight Lies. This sole design reduces turf interaction to increase performance from the fairway, rough, sand - even tight or bare lies.

Exceptional Performance
Today's fairway woods have become hard for most people, including many tour players, to hit from anywhere other than off of a tee due to their deep faces and higher CGs. These "mini-drivers" can also be extremely hard to hit out of the rough or sand due to their larger size. The new Tight Lies will revolutionize the game just as the original did.

"With the new Tight Lies, we've got a 3-wood that you can control, you can hit it out of bad lies," said Tom Watson, 8-time Major champion. "The most important thing for me is to know how far the ball is going to go, and with the new technology, here with Tight Lies, we can hit it where we want it to go and that's what you want in a golf club. Man, that's all I want."

The playability from every type of lie, and the ease at which golfers can get the ball in the air makes Tight Lies the perfect club to hit those long par-4's and par-5's. For the first time in a long time, golfers will love hitting a fairway wood again.

Models, Pricing and Availability
Tight Lies fairway woods will come standard with the Bassara Eagle graphite shaft by Mitsubishi Rayon. Tight Lies Tour will feature the Aldila Tour Blue shaft. The Men's Tight Lies and Tight Lies Tour models will feature a matte black finish, while the Women's model will feature a matte grey crown. All models will include the familiar white half stripes low on the shaft that were also featured on the original. Tight Lies fairway woods will ship mid-August and will have a retail price of $199.99, and $229.99 for the Tight Lies Tour.

PLANO, TEXAS, December 12, 2012 - Adams Golf announced the release of the SUPER S product family. The lineup includes the SUPER S Driver, Fairway Woods, Hybrids and Irons. This is the first time Adams Golf has launched an entire family of products under one name. The SUPER S lineup, from top to bottom, is designed to be easy to hit to give golfers of all levels the performance they desire.

"We felt it was important to give the whole line a common name since they all share many of the same technologies," said Tim Reed, VP of R&D for Adams Golf. "The SUPER S family of clubs at its core, is designed with the idea of making golf more enjoyable."

In the SUPER S line, golfers will find hybrids that are exceptionally long and make those long par-3's easy to hit; irons with exceptional feel and performance; fairway woods that easily get the ball in the air for longer carry distance to reach par-5's in two; and a driver that provides consistently longer and straighter drives which inspire confidence on every tee shot.

In the SUPER S Driver, golfers, for the first time ever, will have a driver featuring VST with a slot in the sole of the club for consistently longer drives. The continued development of VST has led engineers to give the SUPER S Hybrids and Fairway Woods a refined sole and crown slot to improve performance.

The SUPER S family of woods will feature a matte white crown and contrasting PVD face to make the club easier to align and look larger. The addition of these features produces clubs that inspire confidence at address.

"The SUPER S Hybrid is the culmination of years of development with the best players in the world," said Reed. "With the further developments in VST, we have created a hybrid that is extremely hot and incredibly easy to hit."

The SUPER S Hybrids feature a Cut-Thru sole slot to increase ball speeds for greater distance. The refined crown slot is thinner, deeper and longer that provides a new level of performance. Getting the ball in the air is easy from any lie. The ease of hitting high and straight shots makes going for the green an easy decision on those long par-4's and par-5's, and makes those long par-3's your new favorite holes.

"Through our continued research on the benefits of Velocity Slot Technology we have been able to provide even more benefits for golfers," said Reed. "The Cut-Thru slot in the sole of the SUPER S fairway provides the horsepower for the golfer to hit it extremely long distances."

The stainless steel constructions with a new crown slot is thinner, deeper and longer from heel to toe, which allows golfers to easily get the ball in the air without negatively impacting performance. And the Cut-Thru sole slot making the SUPER S Fairway Wood extremely hot with a CT (Characteristic Time) of 230.

"In the SUPER S Irons, we incorporated what we have learned in our hybrid development," said Justin Girard, Senior Design Engineer for Adams Golf. "The irons feature a half hollow construction to make it perform like a hybrid, while still having the look and feel of an iron, giving golfers the best of both worlds."

The Idea SUPER S Irons blend the best of hybrids and irons without sacrificing the look or feel with better stability at impact for less clubhead rotation during impact. Featuring a thinner face for increased ball speed, and improved shaping to give the clubs better balance and an undercut design to provide better feel and performance making it extremely easy to hit long distances and more accurately for those long approach shots into greens.

The Speedline SUPER S driver features a revolutionary new design in adjustability. Consumers won't have to stress about what loft of driver to purchase anymore. All SUPER S drivers will be standard, and will be adjustable from 9.5 degrees to 11.5 degrees of loft. This two degree range allows one driver to satisfy the needs of many golfers, and adapt to the changes of their game over time making it extremely easy to fit.

"The Speedline SUPER S driver is the first Adams Golf driver to feature VST," said Scott Burnett, Director of Advanced Product Development for Adams Golf. "The slot in the sole of the club is deeper in the heel and toe to increase the size of the sweet spot making it incredibly easy to hit straighter and with more distance."

The addition of VST in the driver combined with the continued refinements in aerodynamic shaping making the SUPER S driver to be the most aerodynamic driver ever developed by Adams Golf makes it consistently longer and straighter.

Models, Pricing and Availability
The Idea SUPER S Hybrid will feature the Matrix Kujoh shaft, and will be offered with an MSRP of $199.99. The SUPER S Hybrid will be available in late January.

PLANO, Texas - September 12, 2012 - Adams Golf, the industry leader in hybrid and hybrid iron technology, has taken another leap forward in producing high-performance, easy-to-hit playability for a wide range of golfers with the introduction of the Idea Tech V4 hybrids and irons. The latest refinement in Velocity Slot Technology features a revolutionary Cut-Thru design that produces the same CT levels to that of a driver.

"With refined Velocity Slots, we were able to produce a CT around 240, which is what golfers will find in today's drivers," said Justin Girard, Senior Design Engineer. "This is something the industry hasn't seen in a standard stainless steel hybrid. The increased CT is going to deliver a higher launch angle and higher ball speeds. Golfers will quickly notice that these hybrids are as hot as their driver."

Cut-Thru Technology
With continuous refinements being made in club design, and specifically for hybrid design, the technology has evolved quickly, and never more apparent than with the Idea Tech V4 hybrids. This new design has Velocity Slots in the crown and sole of the club, and also features a channel that is literally cut through the head of the club from the top slot to the bottom allowing for even more face deflection. It was important to seal the slots in order to be compliant with USGA regulations, so the Idea Tech V4 hybrids feature a TPU insert which also improves the feel and give the hybrids a very crisp sound similar to that of an iron.

Unprecedented Performance
Designers are able to optimize Velocity Slots Technology in the Idea Tech V4 hybrids by isolating each slot shaping parameter, including the thru-slots resulting in the maximized CT. With the introduction of the original Velocity Slot Technology in the Idea a12 OS hybrids, engineers saw an increase in CT of 20% vs. the Idea Tech V3 hybrids. With the use of Thru Slots in the new Idea Tech V4 hybrids, engineers have achieved an increase in CT of 67% to levels only seen before in today's titanium drivers, but done in a stainless steel hybrid. In addition to the hotness of the face, the Idea Tech V4 uses a multi-material construction featuring tungsten heel/toe perimeter weighting in the long irons provides optimal CG location for increased forgiveness & higher launch.

Two Distinctive Set Options
Because the Tech V4 is offered in two distinct sets featuring high-performance stainless steel, a forged iron set and an all-hybrid set, the V4 covers a wide range of golfers anywhere from the single handicap golfer to the higher handicap golfer who is looking to launch the ball higher and gain more distance. The forged set features a 3H, 4H, 5H and 6-iron through PW using forged 8620 carbon steel with nickel plating. The all-hybrid set is 4H through GW. Both sets feature a premium PVD finish for a non-glare, sleek look.

Models, Pricing and Availability
The Idea Tech V4 Iron sets will have a manufacturer suggested retail price (MSRP) of $899.99 (steel) and $1099.99 (graphite). The Idea Tech V4 Hybrids will have an MSRP of $249.99. They will be offered in right and left hand in light, regular and stiff flexes. The Idea Tech V4 all-hybrid set will also be offered in a set specifically designed for women featuring a satin finish. The Idea Tech V4 hybrids and irons will be shipping from Adams Golf at the end of September.

Most playable players iron features tour proven design loaded with technology
PLANO, Texas - June 12, 2012 - By combining incredible looks and feel with a multi-material construction to provide forgiveness never before seen in a players iron, Adams Golf has raised the bar for the future of the players iron category with the introduction of the Idea CMB irons.

"With the CMBs we have created an iron that appeals to the best players in the world, but also has technology to make them playable for a wide range of players," said Tim Reed, VP of R&D for Adams Golf. "The look and feel of the CMB irons meets the demands of tour players and low handicap amateurs, but the unique tungsten weighting in each iron makes them great for aspiring players as well."

Everything to Everybody
The first thing players will notice about the Idea CMB irons is the impressive look of the Nickel Chrome Satin finish, followed closely by the exceptional feel provided from the forged 1025 carbon steel. Just like a finely tuned sports car, the CMBs look and feel great, but the strength is what is underneath the hood. Each iron has a unique tungsten weighting low in the toe to have the center of gravity precisely centered in the scorelines to further enhance the feel and produce minimal twisting at impact. This technological addition to a players iron makes the CMB irons perfect for tour players as well as skilled amateurs.

"The Idea CMB irons are the best irons I have found for me," said Paul Haley II, No. 1 on the Nationwide Tour money list and winner of the 2012 Chile Classic. "I had been playing a split set of Idea MB2's in the short irons and Idea Pro a12 irons in the long irons, but with the CMB irons, I am able to get an iron that looks and performs like a blade while still providing the playability of a cavity back."

Stock Offerings and Fitting Options
The Idea CMB Irons will be offered with exceptional premium shafts and grips: KBS C-Taper (steel) or the Matrix Ozik Program 8.1 (graphite) as the stock shaft options, and the new Golf Pride New Decade MultiCompound White Out. Retailers will also have a CMB Fitting Kit to allow them to help consumers get a properly fit set of CMB irons.

Models, Pricing and Availability
The Idea CMB irons will have a suggested retail price (MSRP) for $1099.99 (steel) and $1199.99 (graphite), and will be offered in right hand only in regular, stiff and extra stiff flexes. The irons will be shipping beginning June 15th.
