BALTIMORE, MD. - January 4, 2013 - STX Golf, known for producing classically inspired putters with a modern style, announced today that the company will be launching an entirely new series of putters which incorporate their patented F.E.E.L. Technology inserts with a bold and edgy insert color and deep black finish - the Pitch Black Series.

According to STX Golf Marketing Manager Jason Dengler, "As with all of STX Putters, the Pitch Black Series feature innovative designs, materials and appointments but what separates these new putters is their overall appeal. The black grip, shaft and head create a one piece appearance while the insert color and accents project from the head for unparalleled aesthetics and alignment."

The stealth-like, Pitch Black 1 Putter is a compact, perimeter weighted blade using both modern and classic design elements. The Black, slightly off-center shaft provides a tour inspired visual setup while ensuring 30 degrees of toe hang for the vast majority of players' strokes. Its STX signature Roll Pocket on the sole elevates the center of gravity which promotes a quicker forward roll. This model weights approximately 345 grams and is complimented with a black players grip.

"We believe retailers will position the new Pitch Black Series in alignment with the Sync Series - currently our best seller," added Dengler.

The Pitch Black 1 Putter features a brightly colored electric yellow, soft insert that literally jumps off the black head.

This Soft Insert Technology is called "F.E.E.L." - Friction Enhancing Elastomer Layer This patented STX technology dramatically increases the coefficient of friction to put a greater amount of forward spin on the ball and keep your putts on line. The Soft Face Insert keeps the ball in contact with the putter longer to also provide superior directional control, decreased ball skid and reduced ball deformation.

The new Pitch Black Series will be available in stores for the 2013 spring season. Suggested retail is $149.99. For more information on the Pitch Black Series, visit the company website at www.stxgolf.com or to learn how to win a new Pitch Black Putter visit the STX Golf Facebook page.

The entire STX line of putters will be at the Golf Digest HOT LIST TOUR in Phoenix including the new STX Sync Series and Xform Series Putters.

NEW STX SYNC SERIES PUTTERS:

The current Sync Putter Series is a modern adaptation designed to honor the earlier Sync Tour Putters which contributed to 12 PGA Tour victories and dozens of Top-10 finishes.

The design team was committed to developing these new putters with the same artistic flare and performance characteristics associated with the successful series. The STX SS6 Putters exemplifies their dedication.

The STX SS6 Putter is a contemporary blade with an elegant exterior pad line and flange which creates a uniquely shaped head. Additional weighting has been precisely distributed to provide head stability at impact for greater accuracy. This heel shafted putter keeps the hands forward during the entire putting stroke. A bold top-line assists for set up and alignment.

The SS7 Putter features a heavier head with perimeter weighting, perfectly suited for both belly and long length putters. Its wing-like sections add balance with weight. These segments are also designed for an easy, non-drag take away. Optic openings aid with alignment as well as weight distribution. The center shafted SS7 Putter head is finished with a distinctive black PVD coating and weighs either 450 grams for the belly or 500 grams for the long. The belly lengths are 41-inches and 43-inches. The SS7 long putter is available in 48-inches and 50-inches.

The SS8 Blade Putter is a modern adaptation to the classically designed blade. Its clean top-line seamlessly transitions to a half offset, flared neck hosel. The center of gravity is precisely positioned at the impact zone due to the innovative, progressive muscle back and extended heel design. The modern head weighs in at 360 grams and is also finished in black PVD. The SS8 has a 71-degree lie angle and 3-degrees of loft. Both 34-inches and 35-inches are offered on the SS8 Blade Putter. As with all Sync Series Putters, the red and black inserts are available offering multiple firmness options.

Each model in the Sync Series Collection feature Soft Insert Technology called "F.E.E.L." - Friction Enhancing Elastomer Layer. This patented STX technology dramatically increases the coefficient of friction to put a greater amount of topspin on the ball and keep your putts on line. The Soft Face Insert keeps the ball in contact with the putter longer to also provide superior directional control, decreased ball skid and reduced ball deformation.

NEW XFORM SERIES PUTTERS:

Xform Series Putters combines elegant contemporary lines with exceptional performance. All Xform Putters are 100% machine milled from 303 Stainless Steel.
The Xform 1 Putter features a modern shaped head with traditional weighting and tour inspired topline. A swooping profile seamlessly transitions the topline to the flange. The full offset plumber's neck positions the golfer's hands forward at address. The soft satin finish and distinctive milling lines produce an extremely elegant and glare free look. It weighs 350 grams with a loft of 3-degrees and lie of 71-degrees.

The Xform 2 Putter is a contemporary blade milled from 303 Stainless Steel. A tour inspired top line accents the sweeping profile and caters to the golfer who is looking for a modern wide flanged blade. A half offset flare neck positions the golfer's hands slightly ahead at address. The specifications are similar to the Xform 1 Putter with a 3-degree loft, 71-degree lie and weighs 350 grams. The Xform 2 Putter is available with the newly engineered thermoset insert or the Deep Diamond milled stainless steel face.

The Xform 3 combines cutting edge design with perimeter weighting and industry leading insert technology to produce what we believe will be a front runner of the Xform Series. The Xform 3 Putter exemplifies the Xform Series by pairing cutting edge aesthetics with high performance insert technology. The tour inspired mallet features a cleanly milled alignment rail for increased accuracy. The design also features extreme perimeter weighting for the ultimate in forgiveness.

The Xform 3 Putter is center shafted to add visual confidence at address. As with the entire Xform Series, this contemporary mallet is milled from 303 Stainless Steel. The stylish head is complimented by a glare free, soft satin, finish and distinct milling lines to create a rich texture. The Xform 3 Weighs in at 355 grams with 3-degrees of loft and a 71-degree lie angle. This artistically sculpted, high performance mallet is available in both left and right handed models with lengths of 34-inches and 35-inches.

The Xform Series is available in two distinct feels. For golfers who prefer a softer feel, STX developed a highly engineered thermoset insert that promotes the highest coefficient of friction in the game to maximize forward roll and provide unparalleled feel.

And, for the traditionalists who want the sound, feel and response of machine stainless steel, STX offers its Xform putters with a 100% stainless steel face, featuring a Deep Diamond mill pattern that increases friction while producing the soft feel desired by the best players in the game.

STX To Showcase New Interchangeable Profit 4 & 5 Putter Models At 2009 PGA Fall Expo
BALTIMORE, MD. - July 29, 2008 - STX, world-renowned as an industry pioneer in putter innovation, and for its patented Soft Face Insert Technology, announced today that the company will release two new interchangeable putters, the Profit 4 & 5 Putters, at the upcoming PGA Show in Las Vegas, Nevada.

STX was the first company to introduce interchangeable technology, a system that provides quick adjustments for feel and weighting through the changing of faces and weights. This ability to control the putter head and speed according to personal preferences and course conditions is a huge advantage.

The original STX series of putters that employed the cutting-edge interchangeable technology was the ProFitâ„¢ Series. This technically advanced line of putters was introduced in the late 90's and it revolutionized the golf industry. The concept of movable parts and/or components changed the way golf companies designed their equipment forever. For the past decade, this idea has been applied to drives, hybrids, and in putters.

The new STX Profit 4 & 5 Putter models utilize the innovative STX interchangeable technology but have improved upon its initial engineering to create the most distinctive putters on the market. According to STX Director of Golf Steve Henneman, "These putters reflect classic lines found in a traditional blade but are accented with contemporary hardware, finishes, and state-of-the-art interchangeable technology."

The STX Profit 4 Putter model has been designed for the golfer who prefers a standard head weight and only wants to adjust the face inserts according to course conditions, ball usage, and overall feel. The "softest" black insert comes standard on the STX Profit 4 Putter model. Two other STX face inserts, the medium resilient red insert and firmer green insert are fully compatible with the Profit 4 Putter but are purchased separately. A classically styled blade with a plumber's neck hosel design accommodates these responsive inserts. Both a 34" and 35" length KBS shaft, known for its stability and true feedback, are offered. A face balanced dramatic black finish complements the stylish head which features a 71 degree lie and 3 degree loft. An exclusive STX black and white Golf Pride grip adds to the Profit's overall feel. Suggested retail is $199 and is available in both right and left handed models. Individual STX face inserts will be sold for less than $10 each.

For the golfer who prefers to modify both the face inserts and weighting, the STX Profit 5 Putter model is the perfect choice. For a variety of responses, the STX Profit 5 Putter is available in three face insert options; the black, red and green insert options. The black face insert is "the" softest insert. It delivers the highest friction and resilience rate plus increased dwell time. Those characteristics are chemically formulated to get the ball rolling sooner and keep your putts on line. For a medium resiliency rate, the red insert offers an intermediate amount of dwell time for true control. And, for golfers who prefer a firmer feel, the green insert provides a harder feel with less resilience.

Similar to the STX Profit 4 Putter, the STX Profit 5 Putter resembles a traditional blade with a plumber's neck hosel design but has a modern appearance with its bold hardware and striking black finish. The head has been designed to be face balanced and features a 71 degree lie and 3 degree loft. A premium KBS steel shaft engineered to respond to a golfer's hands is available in both 34" and 35" lengths. A black and white Golf Pride grip exclusively designed for STX finishes the Profit 5 Putter's feel and appearance.

Suggested retail is $229 and is available in both right and left handed models.
